Using a Paint Extension Pole

Ensure that your paint roller distributed evenly with paint for optimum delivery. If you are using an extension rod, less paint enables the pole become less top-heavy. By packing the paint roller lightly, you will achieve cleaner results with fewer runs or drips. Using the paint tools effectively will make the entire process simpler. Dry rolling will cause patchiness and leave an unequal finish.

Start painting at the bottom and proceed upwards along the wall. This approach makes it easier to use the extension pole and permits minimum length changes. The flexibility of painting using the pole at a variety of extensions will make any job easier.

Just holding the pole correctly will simplify your paint job. When working with a completely extended extension, hold it at the middle to maintain accuracy. Concentrate on carrying towards the last section where the lower pole fulfills the middle extension. This control grip allows better delivery and places less stress on the upper extensions. To get the best control options, use both your hands while lifting and lowering the extension.

Don't push too hard while you are loading the roller with paint. Guide the roller carefully to allow it to do the majority of the work for you.

During the paint loading process with an extension pole, grasp the last portion next to the roller and the midsection as close to the base section that you can reach. This approach allows you to manifest extension support throughout the paint loading process.

For the least difficult access, grasp the pole vertically while using the optimum extension until it is close to the surface you're going to be painting. Grip the center and bottom pole as close to the top of each portion as is feasible to find the best control. Gradually lean the pole to the surface to begin painting after you place yourself close enough to the wall.

Once the roller makes contact with the wall, you may adjust your grip and step back from the wall to start painting comfortably. While you're painting, hold the extension in the center and bottom for optimum control. The extension pole may be too top or bottom-heavy if you use it incorrectly. Guarantee correct placement for the greatest result.

If you need to loosen or tighten the collet locking mechanism or the chuck, just hold the pole beneath the collet and unlock or lock the extension portion you need to adjust. Tighten the chuck till the pole that glides out stops moving. After you tighten the chuck, try to slide the pole further to see if it stays in place. You can ruin the pole if you over-tighten the chuck hence adjust cautiously.

Keep the poles clean from paint or items that can hinder the slide. If any paint does get onto the pole, clean it off well before it dries and hardens. Maintain a wet rag handy for cleaning latex products up and some paint thinner on hand for oil-based cleaning. Examine the collet and the chuck before you adjust the pole to ensure they are free from paint thinner or water. Streamline storage by keeping your extension pole folded away to its compact size. For best results with the extension pole, use standard-sized paint handle rollers. A long-handled paint roller is not recommended for use with the extension pole.

Purchasing an extension pole is a worthy expense. It is multiple-use and can enable you to paint ceilings, walls and vaulted regions easily. It is the most secure way to accurately paint vaulted ceilings and walls. Maintain this paint tool by ensuring it is clean each time you wish to use it. The telescoping feature permits you to reach high locations without needing to rely on a ladder. It is really an excellent painting tool that will save you time and energy.

Some individuals use their painting extension poles to dust elevated window ledges, window frames, ceiling fans and more. Store your extension rod in a place that's close so that you have easy access for your painting and cleaning projects.
